This policy explains how the personal data you share while using the kanaal platform is processed. We use your data only to provide and improve the service; we never sell it.
Data we collect
- Account details: first name, last name, email address and an encrypted form of your password.
- Learning data: your level, target exam, exam results, progress and the content you save.
- Voice recordings: your answers to speaking questions (used for assessment).
- Technical data: browser type, session information and error logs.
Why we use your data
- To create your account and keep you signed in
- To score your exams and generate feedback
- To match membership requests with payments
- To keep the service secure and fix errors
Voice recordings and AI
Your spoken answers are processed so they can be transcribed and assessed. Recordings are stored in your account and you can delete them at any time. Recordings you send to a teacher are listened to only by that teacher.
How long we keep your data
Your data is kept for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently erased within a reasonable period.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data. You can send your request to our support team from the email address registered to your account.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your theme and language preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.
